Mist and low cloud conspired to blot out the spectacular views. But the golf was fun, the locals very welcoming and the occasion memorable, playing golf over the King’s and Queen’s – two of Braid’s masterpieces. A score of 5-2 to the home side was declared to be “of little importance”.
